The Allegheny River flows 325 miles, beginning in Potter County, Pennsylvania and ending in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where it meets the Monongahela River and forms the Ohio River.
The Allegheny Wild and Scenic River Water Trail, a Pennsylvania designated water trail, begins at the Kinzua Dam in Warren County and flows south through Forest and Venango Counties to the Borough of Emlenton.
